About the Artist.
Born in Dorset, Heatherbell Barlow studied Art Design and Education at Exeter University. She was Head of Art at Commonwheal School in Swindon and taught art, ceramics and art history at Bryanston in Dorset and at Blundell's School in Devon where she also ran a Girls' Boarding House for 15 years. She lives in an ancient mill on the River Lowman in Devon. U.K.

Her passion for painting  developed over several years whilst creating stage sets for the famous Barlow/Symonds musicals and drawing  much inspiration from the enchanted Isles of Scilly. In 2008 she launched her career as an emerging artist, culminating in her first and highly successful Solo Exhibition in April 2009. This was followed by a second in 2010 and three solo shows in 2011. She continues to paint inspiring landscapes, seascapes and more recently, Gardens of the National Trust. Heatherbell takes commissions through her website, exhibitions and word of mouth. This has been a very busy year! If you have a commission in mind, don't delay.

Drawing on new material from Devon and Cornwall, Heatherbell's recent solo show of the beautiful gardens at Knightshayes Court drew much acclaim for her large canvasses of wild flowers and farmed fields of Devon.
